The Northumberland Small Business Service (NSBS) is a fully-funded service that delivers a range of business support services to ambitious innovators, creative thinkers, and small and micro businesses across Northumberland.
The support supports micro-small business across Northumberland at any stage.
There are four stages of support:
Enterprise & Start-Up Support:
Workshops and 1-2-1 support are available for individuals aged 16+ who are thinking about starting a business or businesses within 12 months of trading.
Growth & Resilience:
Workshops & 1-2-1 support for micro-small sized businesses who have been established for 12+ months.
Farming and Advisory Service:
Working with the Northumberland National Park Authority to deliver specialist support to farming businesses across Northumberland.
Capital Grant Funding:
Capital Grant Funding for businesses looking to expand productive capacity or diversify into new markets or products.
The service also offers free networking events across Northumberland.
The Northumberland Small Business Service, is delivered by Advance Northumberland delivering on behalf of Northumberland County Council. The project is part funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority Investment Fund and by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund with the North of Tyne Combined Authority as the lead authority.
