      The North East Regional Cyber Crime Unit (NERCCU) - along with colleagues from Cleveland Police; Durham Constabulary and Northumbria Police - make up a regional network of specialist cyber officers that deliver nationally approved messaging. NERCCU works closely with the National Crime Agency (NCA) and is a trusted partner of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

      In collaboration with Specialist Cyber Officers from Cleveland Police; Durham Constabulary and Northumbria Police, it delivers nationally approved products and services, reducing risk and increasing resilience within the region across the cyber threat landscape.

      Support includes:

      Cyber Basic Review

      A basic set of cyber specific questions designed to encourage and expand businesses' thinking around the network security of your business.

      Cyber Exercising

      This service helps businesses test and improve incident response plans.

      Police Cyber Alarm

      A free to use tool aimed at helping businesses and organisations monitoring and understanding malicious cyber activity.

      Staff Training and Awareness

      The NERCCU can talk about a whole range of topics, depending on your requirements and needs – current threats, how to spot phishing emails, why password security is important, staying safe at home, social engineering, device security and much more.

      Vulnerability Assessment

      A scan of your organisation to highlight specifically where you are vulnerable and how you can fix the vulnerabilities.
