Beyond The Kitchen Table

Beyond the Kitchen Table (BTKT) is a specialised training programme, designed by Food and Drink North East, for small-scale food and drink producers in the North of Tyne area looking to expand their business and become retail-ready.

Through a mix of in-person workshops and virtual webinars, participants will learn from experts and businesses owners on specific topics designed to teach them how to meet the needs of potential buyers, develop their story and hone their pitch through pitching best practices.

At the completion of the programme, the participating food and drink businesses will come together to present their products at the HITS Expo 2024 from 13-14 May at the Crowne Plaza in Newcastle, and do a live pitch in front of buyers in a Meet The Buyer session.

Food and Drink North East are now looking for expressions of interest in the Beyond The Kitchen Table programme for 2024 from North of Tyne and Northumberland businesses. The programme will be commencing in Spring 2024, with the final pitching session taking place at the HITS Expo from 13-14 May 2024.

The Beyond The Kitchen Table Programme is delivered by FADNE, in partnership with NewcastleGateshead Initiative, NBSL and the North of Tyne Combined Authority.
