Owner of Seaham restaurant, The Lamp Room, Russ Wood and his wife Melanie first met with Sincero to discuss a loan to refurbish their bistro restaurant.

Julie Skevington, of Sincero, also advised the couple about claiming for R&D Tax Credit; this cash injection helped go towards the refurbishment and meant the business could take on a much smaller loan. R&D Tax Credits are a Government incentive designed to reward UK companies for investing in innovation. And this restaurant is definitely pushing the boundaries of food innovation!

Russ said “We didn’t think creating new ways to make food would qualify as an R&D Tax Claim but Julie showed us we did”.  Reduced work during the Corona virus has been difficult for most businesses and I would recommend speaking to Sincero, in a ten minute conversation you will find out if you can claim."

Julie commented “ The Lamp Room really cares about the whole dining experience and great care has been taken from the decor to the menu, and the friendly waiting staff help to make this place a real gem on the seafront of Seaham."
