The North East England Chamber of Commerce has recently bolstered their support for companies wanting to trade internationally by recruiting specialist International Trade Advisers. Three new advisers working with the Department for International Trade Team are focusing on key sectors which are of strategic importance to the North East.
- Martin Pallet – ITA Automotive Sector
- Jayne Pickersgill – ITA Healthcare and Life Sciences
- Craig Harrison – ITA Creative and Digital
The NEECC have been able to fund these new positions thanks to the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and also provide a programme of funding and tailored support for companies who want to explore the possibilities of trading internationally ,or who have already achieved global success but want to continue to conquer new markets. The team is currently working hard to identify business opportunities which are relevant to these sectors and the markets which offer the most potential. The Chamber is the key organisation in the region, providing support to companies trading internationally. This covers practical advice and guidance, research into international business opportunities and access to a global network of contacts.
In addition to one to one tailored support, they have a programme of workshops which provide an excellent introduction to exporting and also specific sessions focusing on e–commerce platforms.
Details on their upcoming workshops can be found here.
