CBI and Deloitte produce guidance on new immigration system
The CBI and Deloitte have produced guidance for businesses on the UK’s new points-based immigration system, which comes into force on 1 January 2021.
The To the Point report will help businesses to:
- Understand the new system in full and judge whether they will need to use it
- Navigate the sponsor licence application process
- Apply for visas for migrant workers
- Put in place record keeping mechanisms to ensure compliance with Home Office rules
The guidance has been designed to be relevant to all businesses, whether they have previous experience of using the existing non-EU visa system or not and it guides businesses through the process of using the new, points-based system to hire workers from abroad.
Matthew Percival, Director, People and Skills at the CBI, said: “The CBI recognises its responsibility to help its members to understand what the new points-based system means for their organisation and to help them consider the steps they need to take to prepare.
“It is fantastic to be working with Deloitte again on this following the huge success of our partnership to help employers understand their role in delivering the EU Settlement Scheme.”
