County Durham Community Foundation offers a wide range of funds and programmes, made up of money from the many different funds that we distribute on behalf of our donors, partners, companies and public organisations.
One such fund is the Northern Heartlands fund which aims to bring people's interest back into the Teesdale, Weardale, Three Towns and Bishop Auckland & Shildon areas by providing financial support for projects that use arts and heritage to enable people to think about the place where they live and/or work.
Anyone who would like to find out whether their project is eligible is encouraged to read the guidelines thoroughly first before applying. The projects across the Heartlands area which do in fact meet the requirements for funding will have access of up to £10,000 across a 1 year period with distribution of the funding occurring in three separate rounds throughout the following months. Awards will typically be presented 5 months after the funding has been given.
