Acas Mental Health Conference: Navigating the changing landscape

June 27th - 27th @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm, Newcastle Upon Tyne, £175.00

Join us and guest speakers as we explore the new Acas framework for positive mental health at work, share experiences and discover practical ways to effectively manage and minimise the impact of mental ill health in the workplace.

One in six employees experience mental ill health each year. Whilst the reasons behind mental ill health are not always work related, employers need to know how to address it.

This conference uses the new Acas framework to set out practical steps that you can take to promote wellbeing and productivity within your workplace.

We are delighted to be joined by guest speakers who will be sharing both their personal and professional experience of mental health.

• Clarke Carlisle; former professional footballer at Queens Park Rangers, Leeds United and Burnley FC (and crowned ‘Britain’s Brainiest Footballer’ in 2002) shares his experience of mental ill health. We will also hear from Clarke’s wife Carrie Carlisle on her experience of recognising the early warning signs.

• Spotting the signs and providing support with an NHS Practitioner

How to stay sane in an insane world - Jeremy Thomas; author and co-producer of the Emmy Award winning documentary ‘Stephen Fry, The Secret Life of a Manic Depressive’

• What can employers do? - Bethany Ainsley, Wellbeing Specialist
